Cake Smash

Cake smash sessions are such a fun way to celebrate, and remember your little one's first birthday! All of their personality is starting to shine through, and nothing makes it come out more than free rein with food, and some time to splash around after!

Cake smash sessions don't have to be just cake either! We can plan a session with any of their favorite food. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

What To Expect

BOOKING : When you're ready to start planning your little one's cake smash session, click on the CONTACT US button either at the top of this page or near the bottom. Send a message with the session you're interested in, any details you'd like to include, and let us know when their birthday is. We'll email you back to answer any questions you may have, and with our availability.

PLANNING: Once we've picked the perfect day and time that works for you and baby's schedule, you'll get an email with an invoice. There's a 50% retainer to book your date, and the rest will be due by the morning of your session.

You'll also get a welcome email with our prep guide and a pre-session questionnaire. The questionnaire will be where you can put in any important details or ideas you have for their big day! If you have any photos of a certain look you're hoping for, feel free to send those during this time.

THE DAY OF: The day of the session, all you have to worry about bringing is little one! Everything you'll need will be provided: cake, props, outfit. We even have some snacks and drinks for you and older siblings if they're coming too! We'll get some portrait photos of baby on the setup, before they get into the messy part. This is a good time to get photos in a special outfit you may have, that you don't want to get covered in cake. Next is cake time! After they've decided they're done with the cake, is time to clean up with splash time in one of our little tubs if you've chosen the splash add on. This is the easiest way to clean up after digging into cake and icing, and sometimes their very favorite part of the whole day!

AFTER THE SESSION: After your session, I'll work on one photo for you to have as a sneak peek. I usually post these to social media that evening, but if you prefer not to post the photos online I can email it to you instead. About a week after your session, you'll get an email with a link to your gallery. Here you'll be able to choose your favorites for the collection you chose, and then download, order prints and products, and share with family and friends.
